Taser wire and flies

The Taser is a non lethal weapon issued to police services world wide. The weapon discharges an incapacitating jolt of electricity to the target. The shock is delivered through a special plastic coated copper wire.  After use, wire used for training purposes is usually thrown away.  But not any more!

By kind permission of Taser UK,  Fishingclass.co.uk has secured a supply of Taser wire that was used for training purposes and is selling the wire and flies tied using the wire, with 100% of the proceeds going to charity.

Taser wire

The plastic coating protects the copper wire from tarnishing, making for a bright ribbing material.  Used in touching turns, it creates a well defined segmented body, whilst the colour of any material used underneath it will shine through the plastic coating.

To make idfferent coluor lfies simply change the underbody or use a marker pen on the wire itself

For just £2.50, you can buy a pack containing at least 2 metres of Taser wire (postage included).
